Terms & Conditions

1. If you want to join Nyamezela, you have to pay the joining fee and the first month according to the package you choose.

2. Bring us your ID/Birth Certificate copies of the people you will put under you.

3. Make sure you leave the office with a Nyamezela membership certificate signed by you that has all the people in the policy you have chosen.

4. Make sure all the people you have entered are listed, otherwise report to the office immediately.

5. Make sure that every time you make a claim, you carry the certificate you were given along with your payment book.

6. Make sure you pay every month and don't let a month go by without a payment slip for that month.

7. When you pay at Nyamezela, you get a receipt confirming that you have paid and then a message sent to your phone informing you that you have paid, if this is does not happen you must contact the manager when you finish paying and report what happened.

8. You are not allowed to leave money or policy/funeral money without receiving a receipt confirming that you have paid.

9. If it happens that you don't pay for two months, you get a penalty for a whole month, which means that if you die during this time, you only get a Flat Lid coffin, transport and storage only.

10. For our funeral service covers, we don't pay for the burial if you are buried by another funeral company.

11. You can claim for your cash or cow money if you joined those covers and are fully covered.

12. If you are a member of ours, you cannot bring the body to us and come with another company's car to take it home, we don't keep bodies for other companies, if you take the body you will pay us the cost of picking it up, storing it, and the paper work before the body leaves our storage.

13. If you fail to pay for three months or more, you can pay for all of them and receive a one-month penalty or start over and wait for 3-months waiting period or more depending on the age of the people you covering.

14. If you join the Cow and cash covers before the 15th of the month waiting period starts on the 1st of that month but if you join after the 15th of the month it starts on the 1st of the following month.

15. For funeral covers, we start counting the day you brought the copy in line with your premium, we count the months and not the receipts you have paid.

16. Still birth we cover the principal member and the spouse, we provide the transport and a coffin for free, we don’t cover the dependents, he/she must pay the expenses of the funeral.

17. If you are adding people later in the policy, they wait for 3 months or more depending on the age of the person you are adding, we start counting on the day you bring their ID/Birth Certificate copy to the office.

18. We issue the grocery money within 2 days when you have filled out the claim and brought all the documents we need.

19. If you don't have an Account number, you only get the grocery cash on Thursdays.

20. If your family member dies at home, you pay the doctor's expenses yourself.

21. If a member wishes to be invoiced not exceeding R10000.00 for members

22. We do a funeral for a person once, if two or more people have covered one person more than once, you must agree on who is filing the claim so that we can service the funeral.

23.  WAITING PERIODS FOR FUNERAL POLICIES ONLY -     

-       0 -59 years 3 months

-      60 -75 years 4 months

-      76 -84 years 6 months

-      86 – 100 years 12 months
